Life isn’t picture perfect—
It’s messy & beautiful & real

The little acts of everyday love. The giggles during tickle fights. The sleepy hours in the early morning when it’s just the two of you.

Even on the longest, most exhausting days, you know you’ll look back on these years with a grateful ache in your heart. When your babies are grown up, you know you’ll want to remember exactly what it felt like to be here.

Because you know that these beautiful, messy moments with your kids — tantrums, toys strewn around the living room, and all the rest — they’re all you get.

“My favorite part of Christine’s photos is that they capture our life in the most genuine way. They capture the sweet moments, and the beauty in our chaos.

She brings a real perspective of seeing the joy in the moments. We’ve used Christine for several documentary sessions over the years and something in Christine’s work brings me to happy tears every time. We have shared the photos with grandparents for gifts, used them for Christmas cards, and have hung the photos in our home. We truly treasure her work. I would (and have!) recommend Christine to friends. I tell them that she is fun, keeps the sessions low-stress, and captures the genuine, special moments.”

Perfect is a myth

And TBH, I think it’s kind of an overrated one

I have two kids of my own, and let me tell you: not a single day with them has been perfect.

The days have been full of love, but they’ve also been full of dirty laundry and temper tantrums and all the other stuff that makes kids, kids.

I prefer to capture that stuff: the stuff of real life. It’s not curated and it’s not tailored, but it is honest and true.

“Recently we wanted something special to mark Henry’s third birthday and asked her if she would shoot on location at his favorite train park. She scouted the area in advance, knew when the golden hour would be and took what seemed like a million pictures. As a result, I now have a beautiful canvas of my joyous toddler up on my wall.

To anyone considering hiring a family photographer, there’s no one better than Christine. Life is precious, let her capture and preserve the beauty of your family. You won’t ever regret it.”

What is documentary family photography?

So glad you asked

Simply put, it’s photography that captures your actual life.

You’ll have photos on your walls that remind your kids what everyday love looks like in your home. How much fun it is to blow bubbles with big sister in the backyard. How nice it is to read with dad on the couch.

Documentary a little too real for ya?

No worries!

We can do a portrait session that is a little more directed, but still shows your family’s natural affection for each other.

Being yourselves is as beautiful as it gets

These messy, honest moments are what life is all about.
